Her specialties include Psychiatry for Adults and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Hernanez is supported in treatment with our psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNP) who are advanced practice registered nurses specializing in caring for the mental health and well-being of their clients. They provide assessment and management of mental health illness and diseases and implement measures to achieve overall physical and psychological well-being and balance for their patients.

Meet our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Christina Payton. Christina graduated with her bachelor's degree from University of Southern Indiana. She went on to earn her master's degree with a specialty as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Indiana University. Christina is board certified. She has worked as a psychiatric nurse for over 6 years prior to becoming a PMHNP-BC. Christina is compassionate and caring and will help guide you through your psychiatric needs.
